COATING GUIDE
Coating is one part of tool selection.
Workpiece material, hardness, operation, geometry and chip evacuation must be evaluated together with the coating.
TiSiN (Bronze)
Used on the HRC55 CORE families for general steel and cast-iron applications.
TiAlN / TiAlN Nano
Used on selected steel and variable-helix families. Exact chemistry is not inferred where the supplier documentation does not define it.
Nano Blue
Used on HRC65 HARD families for hardened-steel finishing and controlled semi-finishing.
DLC
Used on aluminium geometries to support low friction and resistance to material adhesion.
Uncoated, polished
Wide-flute aluminium geometry designed to support chip evacuation and clean cutting.
Metal-Ceramic
A distinct tool material/family, not presented as a conventional PVD coating.
